Carmel joins Spectrum Impact as a Strategy Associate, supporting organizations to develop strategies that maximize their social impact. In tandem to her work at Spectrum Impact, Carmel serves as a Consultant at the Global Infrastructure Facility (GIF), a financing platform housed at the World Bank that helps to prepare, structure, and deliver bankable, climate-resilient infrastructure projects that mobilize private capital.

Prior to joining the GIF, Carmel was an Inclusive Business Consultant at the International Finance Corporation (IFC). Her work at the IFC focused on scaling up private sector investment into high-impact, emerging market companies that integrate low-income and underserved populations into their business models.

Previously, Carmel worked at the Impact Investment Exchange (IIX) in Singapore, providing investment readiness advisory services and recommending innovative financing solutions to social enterprises in the Asia-Pacific region. Carmel also supported the Case Foundation’s Impact Investing portfolio as a graduate intern.

Prior to the Case Foundation, Carmel served as a senior program assistant at the National Democratic Institute, managing and implementing foreign assistance programs in the Middle East & North Africa.

Carmel earned an MS in Global Business & Finance from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Serviceand a BA in Global Studies from the University of California, Los Angeles.
